Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
निपत्योरसि गृध्रास्ते क्षितौ क्षिप्तस्य रावण ।
पिबन्तु रुधिरं तर्षाच्छरशल्यान्तरोत्थितम् ॥६-१०५-२१॥
nipatyōrasi gṛdhrāstē kṣitau kṣiptasya rāvaṇa |
pibantu rudhiraṃ tarṣāccharasalyāntarōtthitam ॥6-105-21॥
Translation
O Ravana! When you are cast upon the earth, vultures shall perch on your chest and thirstily drink the blood issuing from the wounds made by my arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे रावण! जब तुम पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ोगे, तब गीध तुम्हारी छाती पर बैठकर बाणों के घावों से निकलते हुए तुम्हारे रक्त को बड़े चाव (प्यास) से पियेंगे।
English Commentary
This verse is a vivid description of Ravana's physical destruction. Vultures ('Gridhrah') are symbols of death and impurity. Perching on the 'chest' signifies the defilement of the very place where Ravana held his pride of strength. Shri Rama's words are not just rage but a proclamation of an unchangeable future.

यह श्लोक रावण के शारीरिक विनाश का जीवंत वर्णन है। 'गृध्राः' (गीध) मृत्यु और अपवित्रता के प्रतीक हैं। छाती (उरसि) पर बैठना उस स्थान के अपमान को दर्शाता है जिस पर रावण को अपने बल का घमण्ड था। श्री राम का यह वचन केवल क्रोध नहीं, बल्कि एक अटल भविष्य की घोषणा है।
