स शरैः शरजालानि वारयन् समरे स्थितः ।
गभस्तीनिव सूर्यस्य प्रतिजग्राह वीर्यवान् ॥६-१०५-५॥
sa śaraiḥ śarajālāni vārayan samare sthitaḥ |
gabhastīniva sūryasya pratijagrāha vīryavān ॥6-105-5॥
Translation
Standing firm in battle, the valiant Shri Rama warded off the nets of arrows with His own shafts, receiving them as the sun receives its rays.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में डटे हुए वे वीर्यवान श्री राम अपने बाणों से रावण के बाण-जाल को वैसे ही स्वीकार (रोक) रहे थे, जैसे सूर्य अपनी किरणों को ग्रहण करता है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama is compared to the 'Sun' here. Just as the sun effortlessly holds the impact of its own rays, Shri Rama was neutralizing the enemy's strikes. The term 'Pratijagraha' (received/countered) signifies His tactical superiority, showing He was fully capable of containing Ravana's assault. This scene depicts His radiant persona and infallible martial skill.

श्री राम की तुलना यहाँ 'सूर्य' से की गई है। जैसे सूर्य अपनी ही किरणों के प्रभाव को सहजता से धारण करता है, वैसे ही श्री राम शत्रु के प्रहारों को निष्फल कर रहे थे। 'प्रतिजग्राह' शब्द उनकी सामरिक श्रेष्ठता को सूचित करता है कि वे रावण के प्रहारों को रोकने में पूरी तरह सक्षम थे। यह दृश्य उनके प्रकाशमयी स्वरूप और अमोघ अस्त्र-कौशल का चित्रण है।
