नक्षत्रग्रहताराणामधिपो विश्वभावनः ।
तेजसामपि तेजस्वी द्वादशात्मन्नमो ऽस्तु ते ॥६-१०७-१५॥
nakṣatragrahatārāṇāmadhipo viśvabhāvanaḥ |
tejasāmapi tejasvī dvādaśātmannamo 'stu te ॥6-107-15॥
Translation
"He is the Lord of constellations, planets, and stars, the sustainer of the universe, and the most brilliant among the brilliant. O Twelve-formed one (Dvadashatman), salutations to you."
हिंदी अनुवाद
ये नक्षत्र, ग्रह और तारों के स्वामी हैं, विश्व की भावना (रक्षा) करने वाले हैं, तेजस्वियों में भी परम तेजस्वी हैं। हे द्वादशात्मन् (बारह स्वरूप वाले)! आपको नमस्कार हो।
English Commentary
The hymn transitions into direct salutations. Surya is the supreme cosmic ruler over stars and planets. He is the ultimate source of all light ('Tejasamapi tejasvi'). The term 'Dvadashatman' refers to the twelve Adityas presiding over the twelve months, signifying his control over time and cycles.
हिंदी टीका
यहाँ से नमस्कार मंत्र आरंभ होते हैं। सूर्य को 'तेजसामपि तेजस्वी' (तेजस्वियों का भी तेज) कहा गया है। 'द्वादशात्मन्' का अर्थ बारह आदित्यों से है जो वर्ष के बारह महीनों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं। रावण के विरुद्ध विजय प्राप्त करने के लिए श्री राम उस परम तेज को नमन कर रहे हैं।
