Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
नाशयत्येष वै भूतं तदेव सृजति प्रभुः ।
पायत्येष तपत्येष वर्षत्येष गभस्तिभिः ॥६-१०७-२२॥
nāśayatyēṣa vai bhūtaṃ tadeva sṛjati prabhuḥ |
pāyatyēṣa tapatyēṣa varṣatyēṣa gabhastibhiḥ ॥6-107-22॥
Translation
"This Lord alone destroys beings and creates them again. He dries up (waters), he scorches, and he sends down rain with his rays."
हिंदी अनुवाद
ये प्रभु ही प्राणियों का नाश करते हैं और यही उनकी सृष्टि करते हैं। ये ही अपनी किरणों से (जल) खींचते हैं, तपाते हैं और वर्षा करते हैं।
English Commentary
This verse reinforces the cyclic nature of existence commanded by the Sun. He is the operator of the ecological and cosmic cycle—evaporation ('payati'), heating ('tapati'), and raining ('varshati'). He is the master of life and death, empowering Shri Rama to be the instrument of that cosmic will.
हिंदी टीका
यहाँ सूर्य की ईश्वरीय लीला का वर्णन है—सृजन, पालन और संहार का चक्र उन्हीं के हाथ में है। वे ही वर्षा के माध्यम से जीवन देते हैं और ताप के माध्यम से संहार करते हैं। यह श्री राम को याद दिलाता है कि जीवन और मृत्यु अंततः दैवीय विधान है।
