Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
वेदाश्च क्रतवश्चैव क्रतूनां फलमेव च ।
यानि कृत्यानि लोकेषु सर्व एष रविः प्रभुः ॥६-१०७-२४॥
vedāśca kratavaścaiva kratūnāṃ phalameva ca |
yāni kṛtyāni lokeṣu sarva eṣa raviḥ prabhuḥ ॥6-107-24॥
Translation
"He is the Vedas, the sacrifices, and the fruit of sacrifices. Whatever actions/duties exist in the worlds, the Lord Sun is behind them all."
हिंदी अनुवाद
वेद, यज्ञ और यज्ञों के फल भी यही हैं। लोकों में जो भी कर्तव्य कर्म (किए जाते) हैं, उन सबके प्रभु (स्वामी) ये सूर्यदेव ही हैं।
English Commentary
Total identification of the Sun with Dharma. He is the scripture (Vedas), the action (Sacrifice), and the result. All 'kṛtyāni' (duties/actions) in the universe are powered by him. Shri Rama is acknowledging that his own duty (Kshatriya dharma) flows from the Sun.
हिंदी टीका
सूर्य ही समस्त ज्ञान (वेद), कर्म (क्रतु) और धर्म (कृत्य) के आधार हैं। संसार की समस्त गतिविधियाँ उन्हीं की शक्ति से संचालित हैं। श्री राम, जो धर्म के विग्रहवान स्वरूप हैं, उस धर्म के मूल स्रोत (सूर्य) से एकाकार हो रहे हैं।
