पितरो वसवः साध्या ह्यश्विनौ मरुतो मनुः ।
वायुर्वह्निः प्रजापाण ऋतुकर्ता प्रभाकरः ॥६-१०७-९॥
pitaro vasavaḥ sādhyā hyaśvinau maruto manuḥ |
vāyurvahniḥ prajāpāṇa ṛtukartā prabhākaraḥ ॥6-107-9॥
Translation
"He is the Pitris (ancestors), Vasus, Sadhyas, Ashvini Kumaras, Maruts, Manu, Vayu (Wind), Agni (Fire), the Life-breath of beings, the Maker of Seasons, and the Source of Light."

यही पितृगण, आठ वसु, साध्यगण, दोनों अश्विनीकुमार, मरुद्गण, मनु, वायु, अग्नि, प्रजाप्राण (प्राणियों के प्राण), ऋतुओं के कर्ता और प्रभाकर (प्रकाश पुंज) हैं।
English Commentary
The identification continues to include ancestors ('Pitaro'), elemental forces, and time itself. Calling the Sun 'Prajapana' (Life-breath of subjects) emphasizes his biological necessity. As 'Rtukarta' (Maker of Seasons), he controls the passage of time. For a warrior, controlling time and vitality is crucial for victory.

सूर्य न केवल देवताओं का, बल्कि पितरों और प्राकृतिक तत्वों (वायु, अग्नि) का भी स्वरूप हैं। उन्हें 'प्रजाप्राण' कहा गया है, क्योंकि सूर्य के बिना जीवन संभव नहीं है। 'ऋतुकर्ता' के रूप में वे कालचक्र को नियंत्रित करते हैं। युद्ध में काल (समय) और प्राण (जीवन) पर नियंत्रण अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है।
