विध्वंसयितुमिच्छामि वायुर्मेघमिवोत्थितम् ।
अविक्लवमसम्भ्रान्तमव्यग्रहृदयेक्षणम् ॥६-१०८-११॥
vidhvaṃsayitumicchāmi vāyurmeghamivōtthitam |
aviklāvamasambh rāntamavyagrahṛdayekṣaṇam ॥6-108-11॥
Translation
I desire to destroy him just as the wind disperses a rising cloud. Drive the chariot without any agitation, with a steady heart and a focused gaze.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं इस राक्षस को वैसे ही नष्ट कर देना चाहता हूँ, जैसे वायु उमड़ते हुए मेघों को छिन्न-भिन्न कर देती है। तुम बिना घबराए और स्थिर मन तथा दृष्टि के साथ रथ चलाओ।
English Commentary
The analogy of the wind and the cloud illustrates Shri Rama's irresistible power and Ravana's transience. Shri Rama instructs Matali on the importance of mental stability ('Avyagra-hridaya'). On the battlefield, the driver's focus is the foundation of the warrior's success. This confidence reflects His divine authority, prepared to dissipate the clouds of unrighteousness.

वायु और मेघ की उपमा श्री राम की अमोघ शक्ति और रावण की क्षणभंगुरता को सिद्ध करती है। श्री राम मातलि को मानसिक स्थिरता (अव्यग्रहृदय) की शिक्षा दे रहे हैं। युद्ध के मैदान में चालक की एकाग्रता ही योद्धा की सफलता का आधार होती है। श्री राम का यह आत्मविश्वास उनकी ईश्वरीय सत्ता का परिचायक है, जो अधर्म के बादलों को मिटाने के लिए सन्नद्ध है।
