Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ततो देवाः सगन्धर्वाः सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः ।
समेयुर्द्वैरथं दृष्टुं रावणक्षयकाङ्क्षिणः ॥६-१०८-१९॥
tatō dēvāḥ sagandharvāḥ siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ |
samēyurdvairathaṃ dṛṣṭuṃ rāvaṇakṣayakāṅkṣiṇaḥ ॥6-108-19॥
Translation
Then the Gods along with Gandharvas, Siddhas, and supreme Sages gathered to witness that duel (chariot-fight), desiring the destruction of Ravana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब गन्धर्वों सहित देवता, सिद्ध और परम ऋषि उस द्वंद्व युद्ध (दो रथों के युद्ध) को देखने के लिए वहाँ एकत्रित हुए, जो रावण के विनाश की इच्छा रखते थे।
English Commentary
The battle had now become a cosmic spectacle. The phrase 'desiring Ravana's destruction' confirms that the entire creation was exhausted by Ravana's tyranny. The gathering of Gods and Sages elevates the moral significance of the conflict. This was the moment of literal cosmic justice that had been anticipated for ages.

यह युद्ध अब एक दर्शक दीर्घा (Spectacle) बन चुका था। 'रावणक्षयकाङ्क्षिणः' (रावण के क्षय की इच्छा रखने वाले) शब्द यह सिद्ध करते हैं कि सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि रावण के अत्याचारों से त्रस्त थी। देवताओं और ऋषियों का आगमन युद्ध के नैतिक महत्व को बढ़ा देता है। यह साक्षात् ब्रह्मांडीय न्याय का क्षण था जिसकी प्रतीक्षा युगों से की जा रही थी।
