समुत्पेतुरथोत्पाता दारुणा रोमहर्षणाः ।
रावणस्य विनाशाय राघवस्य जयाय च ॥६-१०८-२०॥
samutpēturathōtpātā dāruṇā rōmaharṣaṇāḥ |
rāvaṇasya vināśāya rāghavasya jayāya ca ॥6-108-20॥
Translation
Then, for the destruction of Ravana and the victory of Shri Rama, terrible and hair-raising inauspicious signs (portents) began to appear.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब रावण के विनाश और श्री रघुनाथ जी की विजय के लिए रोंगटे खड़े कर देने वाले अत्यंत भयंकर अपशकुन (उत्पात) प्रकट होने लगे।
English Commentary
Nature provides its own prophecies here. The 'portents' ('Utpatah') were warnings of death for Ravana and blessings of victory for Shri Rama. These 'hair-raising' signs bring the gravity of the battle to life. It proves that even inanimate nature aligns with Dharma, signaling the termination of unrighteousness.

प्रकृति यहाँ अपनी भविष्यवाणी कर रही है। 'उत्पाताः' (अशुभ लक्षण) रावण के लिए काल की चेतावनी थे और श्री राम के लिए विजय का आशीर्वाद। रोंगटे खड़े कर देने वाले (रोमहर्षणाः) ये संकेत युद्ध की गम्भीरता को सजीव करते हैं। यह सिद्ध करता है कि जड़ प्रकृति भी धर्म के पक्ष में खड़ी है और अधर्म के अंत का संकेत दे रही है।
