Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
रावणश्च यतस्तत्र सञ्चचाल वसुन्धरा ।
रक्षसां च प्रहरतां गृहीता इव बाहवः ॥६-१०८-२५॥
rāvaṇaśca yatastatra sañcacāla vasundharā |
rakṣasāṃ ca praharatāṃ gṛhītā iva bāhavaḥ ॥6-108-25॥
Translation
Wherever Ravana went, the earth trembled. The arms of the Rakshasas, as they attempted to strike, became as if paralyzed (stiffened).
हिंदी अनुवाद
जहाँ-जहाँ रावण जा रहा था, वहाँ पृथ्वी कांपने लगी। प्रहार करने वाले राक्षसों की भुजाएं मानो किसी ने जकड़ ली हों (वे शिथिल हो गईं)।
English Commentary
The trembling of the earth represents its inability to bear the burden of Ravana's sins. The stiffening of the Rakshasas' arms ('Grihita iva bahavah') was a divine intervention, as their physical strength failed them. It proves that when the end of unrighteousness is near, one's own senses and limbs escape their control.

पृथ्वी का कांपना (सञ्चचाल) रावण के भारी पापों के बोझ को दर्शा रहा था। 'गृहीता इव बाहवः' (भुजाओं का जकड़ जाना) एक दैवीय हस्तक्षेप था, जहाँ राक्षसों की शारीरिक शक्ति उनका साथ छोड़ रही थी। यह सिद्ध करता है कि जब अधर्म का अंत निकट होता है, तो मनुष्य की अपनी इंद्रियाँ भी उसके नियंत्रण से बाहर हो जाती हैं।
