निपेतुरिन्द्राशनयः सैन्ये चास्य समन्ततः ।
दुर्विषह्यस्वना घोरा विना जलधरस्वनम् ॥६-१०८-२९॥
nipētur indrāśanayaḥ saīnyē cāsya samantataḥ |
durviṣahyasvanā ghōrā vinā jaladharasvanam ॥6-108-29॥
Translation
Even without the sound of rain-clouds, terrifying and unbearable thunderbolts of Indra fell throughout his army from all sides.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बिना बादलों के ही, उसकी सेना में सब ओर इन्द्र के भयंकर और असहनीय शब्द वाले वज्र गिरने लगे।
English Commentary
Thunderbolts falling without clouds is the ultimate sign of divine wrath. The term 'Indrashanayah' proves that the celestial powers were now directly striking Ravana's forces. This sight instilled the fear of that divine justice which the Rakshasas had mocked for years.

बिना बादलों के बिजली का गिरना (विना जलधरस्वनम्) ईश्वरीय कोप का सबसे बड़ा लक्षण है। 'इन्द्राशनयः' शब्द यह सिद्ध करते हैं कि स्वर्ग की शक्तियाँ अब सीधे रावण की सेना पर प्रहार कर रही थीं। यह दृश्य राक्षसों के मन में उस दैवीय न्याय का भय बैठाने वाला था जिसका वे वर्षों से तिरस्कार कर रहे थे।
