निमित्तानि च सौम्यानि राघवः स्वजयाय च ।
दृष्ट्वा परमसंहृष्टो हतं मेने च रावणम् ॥६-१०८-३५॥
nimittāni ca saumyāni rāghavaḥ svajayāya ca |
dṛṣṭvā paramasarhṛṣṭo hataṃ mēne ca rāvaṇam ॥6-108-35॥
Translation
Seeing those auspicious omens for His own victory, the scion of Raghu (Shri Rama) became exceedingly joyful and considered Ravana as already slain.

अपनी विजय के उन शुभ संकेतों को देखकर श्री रघुनाथ जी अत्यंत हर्षित हुए और उन्होंने मान लिया कि रावण अब मारा जा चुका है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's 'joy' here is not hubris but a divine satisfaction with His own cosmic laws. He was an expert in interpreting 'Nimitta' (omens). Considering Ravana already slain ('Hatam mene') reflects His invincible faith that justice was now imminent. This moment represents the psychological conclusion of the war, where the sense of victory was established even before the final blow was struck.

श्री राम का 'हर्ष' यहाँ अहंकार नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर का अपने विधान पर संतोष है। वे 'निमित्त' (संकेतों) के ज्ञाता थे। रावण को मरा हुआ मान लेना (हतं मेने) उनके उस अजेय विश्वास को दर्शाता है कि अब न्याय होने ही वाला है। यह क्षण युद्ध के मानसिक परिणाम की घोषणा है, जहाँ विजय का भाव शस्त्रों के चलने से पूर्व ही स्थापित हो चुका था।
