तद्वर्षमभवद्युद्धे नैकशस्त्रमयं महत् ।
विमुच्य राघवरथं समान्ताद्वानरे बले ॥६-१०९-१९॥
tadvarṣamabhavadyuddhe naikaśastramayaṃ mahat |
vimucya rāghavarathaṃ samantādvānare bale ॥6-109-19॥
Translation
That great rain consisting of various weapons, leaving Raghava's chariot aside, fell all around on the monkey army.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अनेक प्रकार के शस्त्रों वाली वह महान वर्षा युद्ध में राघव के रथ को छोड़कर चारों ओर वानर सेना पर होने लगी।
English Commentary
Since Shri Rama's chariot was divinely protected or Shri Rama deflected the weapons, Ravana's magical attack missed its mark and fell on the monkey army instead. This is an example of collateral damage.
हिंदी टीका
चूंकि श्री राम का रथ दैवीय सुरक्षा में था या श्री राम ने उन शस्त्रों को अपने पास आने से रोक दिया, रावण का मायावी प्रहार लक्ष्य भटककर वानर सेना पर गिरा। यह 'कोलेटरल डैमेज' (पार्श्व क्षति) का उदाहरण है।
