अन्योन्यमभिसंहत्य निपेतुर्धरणीतले ।
तथा विसृजतोर्बाणान् रामरावणयोर्मृधे ॥६-१०९-२५॥
anyonyamabhisaṃhatya nipeturdharaṇītale |
tathā visṛjatorbāṇān rāmarāvaṇayormṛdhe ॥6-109-25॥
Translation
As Shri Rama and Ravana released arrows in the battle, those arrows struck each other and fell to the ground.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में श्री राम और रावण के बाण छोड़ते समय, वे बाण एक-दूसरे से टकराकर पृथ्वी तल पर गिरने लगे।
English Commentary
This is an ancient description of aerial interception. The arrows of both warriors were destroying each other in mid-air, leaving only a pile of broken arrows on the ground. Neither could pierce the other.
हिंदी टीका
यह 'हवाई सुरक्षा' (aerial interception) का प्राचीन वर्णन है। दोनों योद्धाओं के बाण हवा में ही एक-दूसरे को नष्ट कर रहे थे, जिससे जमीन पर केवल टूटे हुए बाणों का ढेर लग रहा था। कोई भी एक-दूसरे को भेद नहीं पा रहा था।
