सा पुरी परमाकीर्णा रथकुञ्जरवाजिभिः ।
संपतद्भिर्विरुरुचे गरुत्मद्भिरिवाम्बरम् ॥६-११-२२॥
sā purī paramākīrṇā rathakuñjaravājibhiḥ । saṃpatadbhirviruruce garutmadbhirivāmbaram ॥6-11-22॥
Translation
That city, crowded with rushing chariots, elephants, and horses, looked beautiful like the sky filled with birds (Garudas).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह पुरी (लंका) दौड़ते हुए रथों, हाथियों और घोड़ों से अत्यंत भर गई और (पक्षियों/गरुड़ों से भरे) आकाश की भांति सुशोभित हुई।
English Commentary
Traffic and commotion. The city streets are choked with the rushing military elite. The simile of birds in the sky suggests a swarm-like movement towards a single destination.

भीड़भाड़ वाला दृश्य। सड़कें जाम हो गई हैं। दौड़ते हुए वाहनों की तुलना आकाश में उड़ते पक्षियों ('गरुत्मद्भिः') से की गई है, जो गति और संख्या का परिचायक है।
