ततो महात्मा विपुलं सुयुग्यं कराढ्यजाम्बूनदचित्रिताङ्गम् ।
रथं समास्थाय ययौ यशस्वी विभीषणः संसदमग्रजस्य ॥६-११-२९॥
tato mahātmā vipulaṃ suyugyaṃ karāḍhyajāmbūnadacitritāṅgam । rathaṃ samāsthāya yayau yaśasvī vibhīṣaṇaḥ saṃsadamagrajasya ॥6-11-29॥
Translation
Then, the high-souled and famous Vibhishana, mounting a huge chariot yoked with good horses and decorated with refined gold, went to the assembly of his elder brother.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, महात्मा और यशस्वी विभीषण, अच्छे घोड़ों वाले (सुयुग्यं), विशाल और श्रेष्ठ सोने (जाम्बूनद) से चित्रित अंगों वाले रथ पर बैठकर बड़े भाई की संसद (सभा) में गए।
English Commentary
Vibhishana's Entry. He arrives in style, matching his brother's status. His chariot is magnificent. The epithets 'Mahatma' and 'Yashasvi' distinguish his character from the rest. He enters not as a subordinate but as a peer and a prince.

विभीषण का आगमन। विभीषण भी कम राजसी नहीं हैं। उनका रथ 'जाम्बूनद' (उत्तम सोना) से बना है। उन्हें 'महात्मा' और 'यशस्वी' कहा गया है। वे भी पूरी शान से, लेकिन सम्मानपूर्वक भाई की सभा में जा रहे हैं।
