असिचर्मधरा योधाः सर्वायुधधरास्तथा ।
राक्षसा राक्षसेन्द्रस्य पुरस्तात्संप्रतस्थिरे ॥६-११-५॥
asicarmadharā yodhāḥ sarvāyudhadharāstathā । rākṣasā rākṣasendrasya purastātsaṃpratasthire ॥6-11-5॥
Translation
Warriors holding swords and shields, and bearing all kinds of weapons, marched in front of the Lord of Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तलवार और ढाल धारण करने वाले तथा सभी प्रकार के हथियारों से लैस राक्षस योद्धा, राक्षसेन्द्र के आगे-आगे चले।
English Commentary
The Vanguard. Ravana is preceded by fully armed troops ('sarvayudhadharas'). This highlights the militarized state of Lanka. The King does not move without his elite guard, signaling readiness for war at any moment.

सुरक्षा व्यवस्था। राजा के आगे अंगरक्षकों का दस्ता चल रहा है। वे 'असिचर्मधरा' (तलवार और ढाल लिए हुए) हैं। यह केवल शोभायात्रा नहीं, बल्कि एक 'शक्ति प्रदर्शन' (Show of Force) है।
