परस्परस्याभिमुखौ पुनरेवावतस्थतुः ।
धुरं धुरेण रथयोर्वक्त्रं वक्त्रेण वाजिनाम् ॥६-११०-७॥
parasparasyābhimukhau punarevāvatasthatuḥ |
dhuraṃ dhureṇa rathayorvaktraṃ vaktreṇa vājinām ॥6-110-7॥
Translation
...stood facing each other again. The yoke of one chariot touched the yoke of the other, and the faces of the horses touched the faces of the other horses.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...पुनः एक-दूसरे के सामने आकर डट गए। रथों का धुरा (जुआ) धुरे से और घोड़ों का मुख मुख से भिड़ गया।
English Commentary
This describes extremely close combat. The chariots were so close that their yokes touched, and the horses' faces met. This situation tested the courage and control of the charioteers.
हिंदी टीका
यह अत्यंत निकट की लड़ाई (close combat) का वर्णन है। रथ इतने पास आ गए थे कि उनके धुरे (yokes) टकरा रहे थे और घोड़ों के मुंह एक-दूसरे को छू रहे थे। यह स्थिति सारथियों के साहस और नियंत्रण की परीक्षा थी।
