तमुत्तमेषुं लोकानामिक्ष्वाकुभयनाशनम् ।
द्विषतां कीर्तिहरणं प्रहर्षकरमात्मनः ॥६-१११-१३॥

dviṣatāṃ kīrtiharaṇaṃ praharṣakaramātmanaḥ ॥6-111-13॥

English Commentary
The arrow is hailed as the 'uttameṣuṃ' (supreme arrow). It serves a specific purpose: removing the existential threat ('bhayanāśanam') to the solar dynasty. It strips enemies of their glory ('kīrtiharaṇaṃ') by defeating them definitively. It brings 'praharṣa' (joy/relief) to Shri Rama.

यह बाण इक्ष्वाकु कुल (श्री राम के वंश) के भय को मिटाने वाला है। 'द्विषतां कीर्तिहरणं'—यह शत्रुओं की कीर्ति छीन लेता है, क्योंकि इससे हारने के बाद उनकी वीरता व्यर्थ हो जाती है। यह श्रीश्री राम के लिए हर्ष का कारण है क्योंकि यह धर्म की स्थापना का साधन है।
