Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स रावणाय सङ्क्रुद्धो भृशमायम्य कार्मुकम् ।
चिक्षेप परमायत्तस्तं शरं मर्मघातिनम् ॥६-१११-१६॥
sa rāvaṇāya saṅkruddho bhṛśamāyamya kārmukam |
cikṣepa paramāyattastaṃ śaraṃ marmaghātinam ॥6-111-16॥
Translation
Extremely enraged at Ravana, pulling the bow strongly/fully, and applying supreme effort, he hurled that arrow capable of striking the vital parts.
हिंदी अनुवाद
रावण पर अत्यंत क्रुद्ध होकर, धनुष को (कान तक) जोर से खींचकर और पूरा जोर लगाकर (परमायत्तः), उन्होंने उस मर्मघाती बाण को छोड़ दिया।
English Commentary
The climax of the duel. Shri Rama channels his anger and strength ('bhṛśamāyamya' - drawing fully). The arrow is released with supreme effort. Calling it 'marmaghātinam' implies it is guided to seek the vital spot that holds Ravana's life, bypassing all other defenses.
हिंदी टीका
यह निर्णायक क्षण है। श्रीश्री राम 'संक्रुद्ध' हैं और 'परमायत्तः' (पूर्ण एकाग्रता और शक्ति) के साथ धनुष खींचते हैं। बाण को 'मर्मघातिनम्' कहा गया है, यानी वह सीधे प्राणों के केंद्र (मर्म स्थान) पर वार करने वाला है।
