अर्दिता वानरैर्हृष्टैर्लङ्कामभ्यपतन् भयात् ।
गताश्रयत्वात् करुणैर्बाष्पप्रस्रवणैर्मुखैः ॥६-१११-२५॥
arditā vānarairhṛṣṭairlaṅkāmabhyapatan bhayāt |
gatāśrayatvāt karuṇairbāṣpaprasravaṇairmukhaiḥ ॥6-111-25॥
Translation
Tormented by the delighted monkeys, having lost their refuge, they fled towards Lanka in fear, with piteous faces shedding streams of tears.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हर्षित वानरों द्वारा पीड़ित किए जाने पर, आश्रयहीन होने के कारण वे (राक्षस) भय से, और आंसुओं की धारा वाले करुण चेहरों के साथ लंका की ओर भागे।
English Commentary
The defeat is crushing. The Rakshasas are broken, weeping ('bāṣpaprasravaṇaiḥ'), and seeking the safety of the city walls. The term 'gatāśrayatvāt' (due to loss of refuge/patron) highlights their vulnerability without Ravana.

राक्षसों की दयनीय स्थिति का वर्णन। वे 'गताश्रय' (आश्रयहीन) हैं। उनके चेहरों पर करुणा और आँखों में आंसू ('बाष्पप्रस्रवणैः') हैं। वे जान बचाने के लिए लंका के किले में शरण लेने भागे।
