ततः सकामं सुग्रीवमङ्गदं च महाबलम् ।
चकार राघवः प्रीतो हत्वा राक्षसपुङ्गवम् ॥६-१११-३१॥
tataḥ sakāmaṃ sugrīvamaṅgadaṃ ca mahābalam |
cakāra rāghavaḥ prīto hatvā rākṣasapuṅgavam ॥6-111-31॥
Translation
Having killed the Bull among Rakshasas, the pleased Raghava made Sugriva and the mighty Angada 'Sakama' (fulfilled in their desires/successful).
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसराज को मारकर प्रसन्न हुए राघव ने सुग्रीव और महाबली अंगद को 'सकाम' (मनोरथ पूर्ण/सफल) किया।
English Commentary
Shri Rama acknowledges his allies. By fulfilling the objective, he validated the efforts of Sugriva and Angada, making their desires/vows ('kāma') fruitful. It shows Shri Rama's nature of sharing the glory of victory with his supporters.
हिंदी टीका
श्रीश्री राम की विजय सुग्रीव और अंगद की भी विजय है। उन्होंने अपने मित्रों की प्रतिज्ञा पूरी की और उनके श्रम को सार्थक किया। 'सकामं चकार' का अर्थ है कि उनकी सहायता का फल उन्हें दिया और उन्हें कृतकृत्य कर दिया।
