विक्षिप्य दीर्घौ निश्चेष्टौ भुजावङ्गदभूषितौ ।
मुकुटेनापवृत्तेन भास्कराकारवर्चसा ॥६-११२-३॥
vikṣipya dīrghau niśceṣṭau bhujāvaṅgadabhūṣitau |
mukuṭenāpavṛttena bhāskarākāravarcasā ॥6-112-3॥
Translation
Having cast about your long, motionless arms adorned with armlets, and with your diadem, brilliant like the sun, rolled aside, (why do you lie thus)?

तुम बाजूबंदों से विभूषित अपनी दोनों विशाल भुजाओं को निश्चेष्ट भाव से फैलाकर और सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी मुकुट को लुढ़काकर (इस प्रकार क्यों पड़े हो)?
English Commentary
The imagery here is stark and symbolic. The arms that once lifted Mount Kailash and terrorized the gods are now motionless ('nishcheshtau'). The crown, representing sovereignty and brilliance comparable to the sun, lies rolled in the dust. This visual signifies the total collapse of Ravana's authority. Vibhishana's lament focuses on the physical manifestations of defeat—the loss of vitality and the displacement of royal insignia—emphasizing the ultimate futility of physical might when devoid of divine grace.

यह श्लोक रावण के मृत शरीर की दयनीय अवस्था का वर्णन करता है। जिन भुजाओं ने कभी कैलाश पर्वत को उठा लिया था, वे अब निश्चेष्ट और निर्जीव हैं। उसका मुकुट, जो सत्ता और प्रताप का प्रतीक था, अब भूमि पर लुढ़का हुआ है। 'भास्कराकारवर्चसा' विशेषण रावण के पूर्व-तेज को दर्शाता है जो अब निष्प्रभ हो चुका है। यह दृश्य शक्ति के नश्वर होने का प्रमाण है। विभीषण को यह देखकर गहरा आघात लग रहा है कि जिस भाई का इतना वर्चस्व था, वह अब अपनी सुध-बुध खोकर असहाय पड़ा है।
