अथवा रामरूपेण कृतान्तः स्वयमागतः ।
मायां तव विनाशाय विधायप्रतितर्किताम् ॥६-११४-१२॥
athavā rāmarūpeṇa kṛtāntaḥ svayamāgataḥ |
māyāṃ tava vināśāya vidhāyapratitarkitām ॥6-114-12॥
Translation
Or perhaps, Death (Kritanta) himself has arrived in the form of Shri Rama, having created an unimaginable illusion for your destruction.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अथवा, तुम्हारे विनाश के लिए स्वयं कृतांत (यमराज/काल) ही श्री राम का रूप धारण करके और अचिन्त्य (तर्क से परे) माया रचकर यहाँ आया है।
English Commentary
Mandodari posits that Shri Rama might be the personification of Time or Death (Kritanta) itself. Since Ravana had cheated death through boons, Death had to adapt and arrive in a form Ravana ignored—a human. This reflects the inevitability of mortality; no matter how powerful the being, Time eventually creates a mechanism (maya) to reclaim them. It emphasizes Shri Rama as the agent of cosmic balance.

मन्दोदरी विभिन्न संभावनाओं पर विचार कर रही हैं। यदि श्री राम ईश्वर नहीं हैं, तो वे साक्षात 'काल' हैं। रावण 'मृत्यु' से परे होने का दावा करता था, इसलिए मृत्यु को उसे मारने के लिए दूसरा रूप (श्री राम) धारण करना पड़ा। 'अप्रतितर्किताम् मायाम्' का अर्थ है ऐसी रणनीति या माया जिसे तर्क से नहीं समझा जा सकता। मन्दोदरी यह स्वीकार करती हैं कि रावण का अंत एक दैवीय विधान था, जिसे टाला नहीं जा सकता था।
