सर्वलोकेश्वरः साक्षाल्लोकानां हितकाम्यया ।
सराक्षसपरीवारं हतवांस्त्वां महाद्युतिः ॥६-११४-१७॥
sarvalokeśvaraḥ sākṣāllokānāṃ hitakāmyayā |
sarākṣasaparīvāraṃ hatavāṃstvāṃ mahādyutiḥ ॥6-114-17॥
Translation
That Supreme Lord of all worlds, possessing great splendor, has killed you along with your demon retinue for the welfare of the worlds.

उन साक्षात् सर्वलोकेश्वर महातेजस्वी (प्रभु) ने लोकों के हित की कामना से, राक्षस-परिवार सहित आपका वध किया है।
English Commentary
Mandodari elevates the narrative from a war between two kings to a cosmic intervention. She acknowledges that Shri Rama acted out of hitakamyaya (desire for welfare) for the universe. Accepting that her husband's death was necessary for the greater good is incredibly painful but shows her alignment with Dharma. She recognizes Ravana's death as a purification ritual performed by the Lord of the Worlds.

मन्दोदरी मानती हैं कि रावण का वध व्यक्तिगत प्रतिशोध नहीं, अपितु 'लोक-हित' (जगत कल्याण) के लिए हुआ है। यह रावण के जीवन का एक दुखद सत्य है—उसका विनाश दुनिया के लिए आवश्यक हो गया था। मन्दोदरी, पत्नी होते हुए भी, धर्म के पक्ष को स्वीकार करती हैं। वे समझती हैं कि भगवान ने संतुलन बनाए रखने के लिए यह कठोर कदम उठाया। यह उनकी निष्पक्षता और धर्म-परायणता को दर्शाता है।
