कियतामविरोधश्च राघवेणेति यन्मया ।
उच्यमानो न गृह्णासि तस्येयं व्युष्टिरागता ॥६-११४-१९॥
kiyatāmavirodhaśca rāghaveṇeti yanmayā |
ucyamāno na gṛhṇāsi tasyeyaṃ vyuṣṭirāgatā ॥6-114-19॥
Translation
'Let there be no hostility with Raghava'—even though I said this, you did not accept it; this implies the consequence of that (refusal) has arrived.
हिंदी अनुवाद
'राघव (श्री राम) के साथ विरोध न किया जाए'—मेरे द्वारा ऐसा कहे जाने पर भी आपने मेरी बात नहीं मानी; उसी का यह (दुखद) फल आ गया है।
English Commentary
Reiterating the tragedy of ignored counsel, Mandodari reminds the departed soul that she had warned him against antagonizing Shri Rama. The tragedy is amplified because the disaster was foreseeable and preventable. The word vyushti (consequence/fruit) emphasizes the law of cause and effect. Ravana's refusal to listen to his wise wife sealed his fate long before the final arrow was fired.
हिंदी टीका
विभीषण की तरह मन्दोदरी ने भी रावण को समझाया था। एक पत्नी के रूप में उन्होंने भावी विनाश को देख लिया था। लेकिन रावण ने अहंकारवश उस सलाह को ठुकरा दिया। 'व्युष्टि' का अर्थ है परिणाम या फल। मन्दोदरी याद दिलाती हैं कि यह विनाश अचानक नहीं आया, बल्कि अच्छी सलाह की अवहेलना का संचित परिणाम है।
