न श्रुतं वीर्यमत्तेन तस्येदं फलमीदृशम् ।
नीलजीमूतसंकाश पीताम्बर शुभाङ्गद ॥६-११४-७९॥
na śrutaṃ vīryamattena tasyedaṃ phalamīdṛśam |
nīljīmūtasaṃkāśa pītāmbara śubhāṅgada ॥6-114-79॥
Translation
"O one resembling a blue cloud! O wearer of yellow garments! O one with auspicious armlets! Intoxicated by your prowess, you did not listen, and this is the result of that."
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे नीले मेघ के समान वर्ण वाले! हे पीतांबरधारी! हे सुंदर बाजूबंद वाले! शक्ति के मद में चूर होकर तुमने (वह सब) नहीं सुना, उसी का यह ऐसा फल मिला है।
English Commentary
She gazes at his majestic form—dark like a 'blue cloud' and dressed in yellow silk—contrasting his physical beauty with his tragic end. She identifies 'viryamatta' (intoxication with power) as the cause of his deafness to reason. The sight of his fallen body is explicitly identified as the 'phalam' (fruit) of that arrogance.

वह रावण के मृत शरीर को निहारती है—नील वर्ण और पीतांबर धारण किए हुए। वह कहती है कि रावण 'वीर्यमत्त' (शक्ति के नशे में चूर) था। शक्ति का मद विनाशकारी होता है। आज जो वह शव रूप में पड़ा है, यह उसी अहंकार का 'फल' है।
