Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न ते सुविदिता देवि लोकानां स्थितिर्ध्रुवा ।
दशाविभागपर्याये राज्ञां चञ्चलया श्रिया ॥६-११४-९०॥
na te suviditā devi lokānāṃ sthitirdhruvā |
daśāvibhāgaparyāye rājñāṃ cañcalayā śriyā ॥6-114-90॥
Translation
"O Devi! Is the eternal nature/state of the worlds not well known to you? With the fickle fortune of kings, there is a cycle of changing conditions (rise and fall)."
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे देवी! क्या तुम्हें संसार की यह निश्चित स्थिति ज्ञात नहीं है? राजाओं की चंचल लक्ष्मी (श्री) के कारण दशाओं का उलटफेर (सुख-दुःख का परिवर्तन) होता रहता है।
English Commentary
The other queens offer philosophical consolation based on the impermanence of life ('lokānāṃ sthitirdhruvā'). They remind her that royal fortune ('śriyā') is notoriously fickle ('cañcalayā'). The rise and fall of kings is a natural cycle ('paryāye'), and Ravana's fall is part of this cosmic order.

अन्य रानियां मंदोदरी को दार्शनिक सांत्वना देती हैं। वे कहती हैं कि संसार की स्थिति 'ध्रुवा' (निश्चित) है—अर्थात परिवर्तन ही नियम है। राजलक्ष्मी 'चंचला' होती है। सुख और दुख का चक्र ('दशाविभागपर्याये') चलता रहता है। यह राजसी जीवन की अनिश्चितता का बोध कराता है।
