तं प्रश्रितस्ततो रामं श्रुतवाक्यो विभीषणः ।
विमृश्य बुद्ध्या धर्मज्ञो धर्मार्थसहितं वचः ॥६-११४-९३॥
taṃ praśritastato rāmaṃ śrutavākyo vibhīṣaṇaḥ |
vimṛśya buddhyā dharmajño dharmārthasahitaṃ vacaḥ ॥6-114-93॥
Translation
Hearing those words, the righteous Vibhishana, reflecting with his intellect, spoke humbly to Shri Rama words that were consistent with righteousness and purpose.

श्री राम के वचन सुनकर, धर्म को जानने वाले विभीषण ने अपनी बुद्धि से विचार करके, श्रीश्री राम से विनयपूर्वक धर्म और अर्थ से युक्त वचन कहे।
English Commentary
Vibhishana, though righteous ('dharmajño'), hesitates. He contemplates Shri Rama's order and responds not with blind obedience but with a reasoned argument based on his understanding of Dharma. This sets up an ethical debate about whether an adharmic person deserves funeral honors.
