ततस्त्वेकं घटं गृह्य संस्थाप्य परमासने ।
घटेन तेन सौमित्रिरभ्यषिञ्चद्विभीषणम् ॥६-११५-१४॥
tatastvekaṃ ghaṭaṃ gṛhya saṃsthāpya paramāsane |
ghaṭena tena saumitrirabhyāṣiñcadvibhīṣaṇam ॥6-115-14॥
Translation
Thereafter, taking one jar and having Vibhishana seated on an excellent throne, the son of Sumitra (Lakshmana) consecrated him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, उस जल से भरे कलश को लेकर और विभीषण को एक श्रेष्ठ आसन पर बिठाकर, सुमित्रानन्दन लक्ष्मण ने उनका अभिषेक किया।
English Commentary
This marks a new chapter in the history of Lanka. Lakshmana performs the consecration as the representative of Shri Rama's authority. Seating Vibhishana on an 'excellent throne' ('Paramasane') is the restoration of his honor. This scene is the physical proof of the rise of new righteous leadership following the destruction of unrighteousness. Lanka was transitioning from the rule of a tyrant to the reign of a devotee.

यह लंका के इतिहास का एक नया अध्याय है। लक्ष्मण जी स्वयं अभिषेक कर रहे हैं, जो श्री राम की सत्ता का प्रतिनिधित्व है। 'परमासने' (श्रेष्ठ आसन) पर बिठाना विभीषण के सम्मान की पुनर्स्थापना है। यह दृश्य अधर्म के ध्वंस के बाद धर्म के नए नेतृत्व के उदय का भौतिक प्रमाण है। लंका अब असुर-राज से मुक्त होकर भक्त-राज के अधीन हो रही थी।
