प्रतिजग्राह तत् सर्वं तस्यैव प्रियकाम्यया ।
ततः शैलोपमं वीरं प्राञ्जलिं पार्श्वतः स्थितम् ॥६-११५-२१॥
pratijagrāha tat sarvaṃ tasyaiva priyakāmyayā |
tataḥ śailopamaṃ vīraṃ prāñjaliṃ pārśvataḥ sthitam ॥6-115-21॥
Translation
Accepted all those items solely to please him (Vibhishana). Then, to the mountain-like hero who stood nearby with folded hands (Hanuman)—

विभीषण की प्रसन्नता के लिए उन सब वस्तुओं को स्वीकार कर लिया। तब पर्वत के समान विशाल और पास में हाथ जोड़कर खड़े वीर (हनुमान जी) से—
English Commentary
Shri Rama’s acceptance of the gifts is a mark of His loving nature. The phrase 'solely to please him' indicates that the Lord has no need for material objects; He only values the devotee's sentiment. Shri Rama then turns His attention toward Hanuman, who stands steady like a mountain and humble with folded hands. This sets the stage for a new and emotional chapter.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम का उपहार स्वीकार करना उनके प्रेमपूर्ण व्यवहार का अंग है। 'तस्यैव प्रियकाम्यया' (उसकी प्रसन्नता के लिए) शब्द बताते हैं कि भगवान को वस्तुओं की आवश्यकता नहीं, वे केवल भक्त का भाव देखते हैं। अब श्री राम का ध्यान पवनपुत्र हनुमान जी की ओर जाता है, जो 'पर्वत' के समान अचल और विनम्र होकर खड़े हैं। यहाँ से एक नया और भावुक प्रसंग आरम्भ होने वाला है।
