अब्रवीद्राघवो वाक्यं हनुमन्तं प्लवङ्गमम् ।
अनुमान्यं महाराजमिमं सौम्य विभीषणम् ॥६-११५-२२॥
abravīdrāghavo vākyaṃ hanumantaṃ plavaṅgamam |
anumānya mahārājamimaṃ saumya vibhīṣaṇam ॥6-115-22॥
Translation
Shri Rama (the scion of Raghu) spoke these words to the monkey Hanuman: 'O gentle Hanuman! Having obtained permission from this King Vibhishana—'
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्री रघुनाथ जी ने वानर हनुमान से ये वचन कहे— 'हे सौम्य हनुमान! इन महाराज विभीषण से अनुमति लेकर—'
English Commentary
Shri Rama presents a supreme example of 'Maryada' (propriety). Although He has conquered Lanka, He now recognizes Vibhishana as its 'Maharaja' (Great King). He instructs Hanuman to seek Vibhishana’s permission before entering the city. This demonstrates His respect for royal protocol and the sovereignty He has bestowed upon Vibhishana.

श्री राम यहाँ मर्यादा का श्रेष्ठ उदाहरण प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं। यद्यपि लंका पर उनकी विजय हुई है, किन्तु वे अब विभीषण को वहाँ का 'महाराज' मानते हैं। वे हनुमान जी को सीधे लंका में घुसने के बजाय विभीषण से अनुमति लेने को कहते हैं। यह राजकीय शिष्टाचार (Protocol) और विभीषण की प्रभुसत्ता के प्रति उनके सम्मान को दर्शाता है।
