विभीषणमिमं सौम्य लङ्कायामभिषेचय ।
अनुरक्तं च भक्तं च मम चैवोपकारिणम् ॥६-११५-९॥
vibhīṣaṇamimaṃ saumya laṅkāyā mabhiṣecaya |
anuraktaṃ ca bhaktaṃ ca mama caivopakāriṇam ॥6-115-9॥
Translation
O gentle Lakshmana! Perform the coronation (Abhisheka) of this Vibhishana in Lanka; for he is devoted, a loyal follower, and has also been beneficial to me.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सौम्य लक्ष्मण! इस विभीषण का लंका के राज्य पर अभिषेक करो; क्योंकि यह (मेरे प्रति) अनुरक्त है, मेरा भक्त है और मेरा उपकारी भी है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama fulfills His long-standing promise by granting the kingdom of Lanka to Vibhishana. The terms 'Anuraktam' and 'Bhaktam' describe Vibhishana's internal loyalty, while 'Upakarinam' acknowledges the tactical assistance he provided during the war. This verse delivers a great message of gratitude—it is the duty of a noble King to honor and empower those who stood by Him in times of crisis.

श्री राम यहाँ विभीषण जी को लंका का राज्य देकर अपनी पुरानी प्रतिज्ञा को पूर्ण कर रहे हैं। 'अनुरक्तम्' और 'भक्तम्' शब्द विभीषण की आंतरिक निष्ठा को बताते हैं, जबकि 'उपकारिणम्' उनके द्वारा युद्ध में दी गई सामरिक सहायता को। यह श्लोक कृतज्ञता का महान संदेश देता है—जो संकट में साथ दे, उसे सम्मान और अधिकार देना एक श्रेष्ठ राजा का धर्म है।
