रावणश्च हतः शत्रुर्लङ्का चेयं वशे स्थिता ।
मया ह्यलव्धनिद्रेण दृढेन तव निर्जये ॥६-११६-११॥
rāvaṇaśca hataḥ śatrurlaṅkā ceyaṃ vaśe sthitā |
mayā hyalavdhanidreṇa dṛḍhena tava nirjaye ॥6-116-11॥
Translation
"The enemy Ravana is killed, and this Lanka is under control. Indeed, I remained sleepless and firm for the sake of winning you back."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"शत्रु रावण मारा गया और यह लंका वश में हो गई है। तुम्हारी विजय के लिए मैंने दृढ़ होकर निद्रा का त्याग कर दिया था।"
English Commentary
Shri Rama mentions his own austerity—'alabdhanidrena' (sleepless). This is to convey to Sita that he too did not rest in her separation. It is an expression of love and dedication.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम अपनी तपस्या का उल्लेख करते हैं—'अलब्धनिद्रेण' (बिना सोए)। यह सीता को यह बताने के लिए है कि उनके वियोग में श्री राम भी चैन से नहीं बैठे थे। यह प्रेम और समर्पण की अभिव्यक्ति है।
