भाग्यवैषम्ययोगेन पुरा दुश्चरितेन च ।
मयैतत् प्राप्यते सर्वं स्वकृतं ह्युपभुज्यते ॥६-११६-३९॥
bhāgyavaiṣamyayogena purā duścaritena ca |
mayaitat prāpyate sarvaṃ svakṛtaṃ hyupabhujyate ॥6-116-39॥
Translation
"Due to adverse fate and past misdeeds, I have suffered all this; for one surely reaps the fruit of one's own actions."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"भाग्य की विषमता और पूर्व जन्म के दुष्कर्मों के कारण ही मैंने यह सब प्राप्त किया (भोगा) है; क्योंकि व्यक्ति अपने किए हुए का ही फल भोगता है।"
English Commentary
Instead of blaming others, Sita accepts the 'Karma theory'. It is her greatness that she takes responsibility for her sufferings, ensuring no bitterness remains in her heart towards others.

सीता जी दूसरों को दोष देने के बजाय 'कर्म सिद्धांत' को स्वीकार करती हैं। यह उनकी महानता है कि वे अपने कष्टों की जिम्मेदारी स्वयं लेती हैं, जिससे उनके मन में दूसरों के प्रति कटुता नहीं रहती।
