तदर्थं निर्जिता मे त्वं यशः प्रत्याहृतं मया ।
नास्ति मे त्वय्यभिष्वङ्गो यथेष्टं गम्यतामितः ॥६-११८-२१॥
tadarthaṃ nirjitā me tvaṃ yaśaḥ pratyāhṛtaṃ mayā |
nāsti me tvayyabhiṣvaṅgo yatheṣṭaṃ gamyatāmitaḥ ॥6-118-21॥
Translation
It was for that purpose (restoring honor) that you were won by me, and my fame has been reclaimed. I have no attachment to you; go from here wherever you wish.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस (यश/कुल की रक्षा) के लिए ही मैंने तुम्हें जीता है और अपना यश वापस पाया है। अब मुझे तुममें कोई आसक्ति (लगाव) नहीं है; यहाँ से जहाँ इच्छा हो, चली जाओ।
English Commentary
Shri Rama reiterates his detachment (abhisvango nasti). Claiming he has no further attachment to her serves to sever the emotional bond publicly. Having reclaimed his fame (yashah), he treats the transaction as complete. This harsh dismissal is the catalyst that leaves Sita with no option but to prove her purity through a divine ordeal, as no human argument could overcome such absolute rejection.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम पुनः निर्ममता से कहते हैं: 'नास्ति मे त्वय्यभिष्वङ्गो' (मुझे तुममें कोई आसक्ति नहीं है)। यह वैराग्य की चरम सीमा है। वे सीता को यह विश्वास दिलाना चाहते हैं कि वे अब केवल एक राजा हैं, प्रेमी नहीं। यश की पुनर्प्राप्ति ही उनका एकमात्र लक्ष्य था। यह सीता को मानसिक रूप से तोड़ने और उन्हें अपनी पवित्रता सिद्ध करने के लिए अंतिम कदम उठाने (अग्नि प्रवेश) हेतु प्रेरित करने के लिए कहा गया वचन है।
