लङ्घनं च समुद्रस्य लङ्कायाश्चावमर्दनम् ।
सफलं तस्य तच्छ्लाघ्यं महत् कर्म हनूमतः ॥६-११८-७॥
laṅghanaṃ ca samudrasya laṅkāyāścāvamardanam |
saphalaṃ tasya tacchlāghyaṃ mahat karma hanūmataḥ ॥6-118-7॥
Translation
The crossing of the ocean and the crushing of Lanka—that great and praiseworthy deed of Hanuman has become fruitful today.
हिंदी अनुवाद
समुद्र को लांघना और लंका का मर्दन (ध्वंस) करना—हनुमान का वह महान और प्रशंसनीय कर्म (आज) सफल हो गया।
English Commentary
Shri Rama explicitly acknowledges the pivotal role of Hanuman. The heroic feats of crossing the ocean and burning Lanka would have been in vain had the final objective (rescue/victory) not been achieved. By citing Hanuman's 'mahat karma' (great deed), Shri Rama shares the glory, showing his quality as a grateful leader who validates the sacrifices of his devotees.

अपनी विजय के क्षण में श्री राम अपने सहयोगियों को नहीं भूलते। वे हनुमान जी के योगदान को याद करते हैं। यदि सीता मुक्त न होतीं, तो हनुमान की लंका-दहन और समुद्र-लंघन की सारी मेहनत व्यर्थ जाती। श्री राम यह जता रहे हैं कि यह सफलता सामूहिक प्रयासों का परिणाम है, और वे इस ऋण को स्वीकार करते हैं।
