सा मे न शय्यामारोढुमिच्चत्यलसगामिनी ।
त्रिषुलोकेषु चान्या मे न सीतासदृशी मता ॥६-१२-१३॥
sā me na śayyāmāroḍhumicchatyalasagāminī । triṣu lokeṣu cānyā me na sītāsadṛśī matā ॥6-12-13॥
Translation
She, of slow gait, does not wish to mount my bed. And in the three worlds, I consider no other woman equal to Sita.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह मंद-मंद चलने वाली (अलसगामिनी) मेरी शय्या पर आरोहण करना नहीं चाहती (मुझसे प्रेम नहीं करती)। और तीनों लोकों में मुझे सीता के समान कोई दूसरी (सुंदर) नहीं लगती।
English Commentary
Ravana's obsession. He confesses his frustration: Sita rejects his advances. Yet, he is captivated by her unique beauty ('na anya sadarshi'). This admission reveals that the war is driven by his personal lust, not state policy.
हिंदी टीका
रावण की आसक्ति। रावण अपनी समस्या बताता है: सीता उसे स्वीकार नहीं कर रही। साथ ही वह अपनी आसक्ति (Obsession) भी स्वीकार करता है कि सीता जैसी सुंदर स्त्री तीनों लोकों में नहीं है। यह उसका 'काम-मोह' है।
