हुताग्निरर्चिःसम्काशामेनाम् सौरीमिव प्रभाम् ।
उन्नसम् विमलम् वल्गु वदनम् चारुलोचनम् ॥६-१२-१६॥
hutāgnerarcisaṃkāśāmenāṃ saurīmiva prabhām । dṛṣṭvā sītāṃ viśālākṣīṃ kāmasya vaśameyivān ॥6-12-16॥
Translation
Seeing that large-eyed Sita, who resembles the flame of a sacrificial fire and the radiance of the sun, I have come under the control of Kama (Lust).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हवन की हुई अग्नि की ज्वाला के समान और सूर्य की प्रभा जैसी उस विशाल नेत्रों वाली सीता को देखकर मैं काम के वश में हो गया हूँ।
English Commentary
Radiance and Lust. Comparing Sita to 'huta agni' (sacrificial fire) hints at her scorching purity which Ravana cannot touch. He admits defeat to his own instincts ('kamasya vasham').

अग्नि और सूर्य। सीता का तेज 'हवन की अग्नि' जैसा है—पवित्र लेकिन जलाने वाला। रावण स्वीकार करता है कि वह 'कामस्य वशम्' (काम का गुलाम) हो गया है।
