नर्दतस्तीक्ष्णदम्ष्ट्रस्य बिभीयाद्वै पुरन्दरः ।
पुनर्माम् सद्वितीयेन शरेण निहनिष्यति ॥६-१२-३८॥
punarmāṃ sa dvitīyena śareṇa nihaniṣyati । tato'haṃ tasya pāsyāmi rudhiraṃ kāmamāśvasa ॥6-12-38॥
Translation
He (Shri Rama) will not be able to strike me again with a second arrow; before that, I shall drink his blood. Be fully reassured.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(शायद) वह (श्री राम) मुझे दूसरे बाण से नहीं मार पाएगा (उससे पहले ही), मैं उसका खून पी जाऊँगा। तुम यथेच्छ (कामम्) आश्वस्त हो जाओ।
English Commentary
Guarantee of Victory. Kumbhakarna claims he will end the war instantly. 'Drinking blood' highlights his Rakshasa nature. He tells Ravana to relax ('ashvasa'), taking the burden of the war onto his own massive shoulders.
हिंदी टीका
अंतिम आश्वासन। कुम्भकर्ण दावा करता है कि श्री राम को दूसरा बाण चलाने का मौका ही नहीं मिलेगा। वह रावण को 'आश्वस' (Relax/Breathe easy) रहने को कहता है।
