ततो विनिक्षिप्य बलम् सर्वम् नगरगुप्तये ।
प्रहस्तः प्रमुखे राज्ञो निषसाद जगाद च ॥६-१२-४॥
tato vinikṣipya balaṃ pṛthaṅnagaraguptaye । prahastaḥ pramukhe rājño niṣasāda jagāda ca ॥6-12-4॥
Translation
Then, having deployed the army separately for the city's protection, Prahasta sat down in front of the King and spoke.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, नगर की रक्षा के लिए सेना को अलग-अलग (मोर्चों पर) तैनात करके, प्रहस्त राजा के सामने बैठ गया और बोला।
English Commentary
Reporting back. After securing the city ('nagaraguptaye'), Prahasta takes his seat ('nishasada') facing the King to confirm compliance. This formal procedure underscores the military discipline in Lanka.
