त्वं यज्ञस्त्वं वषट्कारस्त्वमोंकारः परन्तपः ।
प्रभवं निधनं वा ते न विदुः को भवानिति ॥६-१२०-२०॥
tvaṃ yajñastvaṃ vaṣaṭkārastvamoṃkāraḥ parantapaḥ |
prabhavaṃ nidhanaṃ vā te na viduḥ ko bhavāniti ॥6-120-20॥
Translation
"O Scorcher of foes! You are the Sacrifice (Yajna), you are the Vashatkara, and you are the Omkara. No one knows your origin or your end, or who you really are."
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे परन्तप! तुम ही यज्ञ हो, तुम ही वषट्कार (आहुति मंत्र) हो और तुम ही ओंकार हो। तुम कौन हो, तुम्हारी उत्पत्ति या विनाश क्या है—यह कोई नहीं जानता।
English Commentary
Shri Rama is identified with the core elements of Vedic ritual: the Yajna itself, the invocations ('Vashatkara'), and the primal sound 'Om'. The statement 'No one knows who you are' highlights the concept of 'Neti Neti'—the Supreme Reality is beyond full comprehension, even by the creator Brahma.
