Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अन्ते पृथिव्याः सलिले दृश्यसे त्वं महोरगः ।
त्रीँल्लोकान् धारयन् राम देवगन्धर्वदानवान् ॥६-१२०-२३॥
ante pṛthivyāḥ salile dṛśyase tvaṃ mahoragaḥ |
trī~llokān dhārayan rāma devagandharvadānavān ॥6-120-23॥
Translation
"At the base of the earth, in the waters, you are seen as the Great Serpent (Sesha). O Shri Rama, you sustain the three worlds including gods, Gandharvas, and Danavas."
हिंदी अनुवाद
पृथ्वी के अंत में (नीचे) जल में तुम ही महान सर्प (शेषनाग) के रूप में दिखाई देते हो। हे श्री राम! तुम ही देवता, गंधर्व और दानवों सहित तीनों लोकों को धारण करते हो।
English Commentary
Shri Rama is identified with Sesha Naga, the cosmic serpent who holds the earth. This reinforces the Vaishnava theology where the Lord and his bed (Sesha) are inseparable aspects of the same reality supporting the multiverse.

विष्णु रूप में वे शेषनाग पर शयन करते हैं या शेषनाग (संकर्षण) उन्हीं का रूप है जो पृथ्वी को धारण करता है। श्री राम को तीनों लोकों का आधारस्तंभ बताया गया है। वे केवल अयोध्या के राजा नहीं, बल्कि त्रिलोक के धारक हैं।
