Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
निमेषस्ते भवेद्रात्रिरुन्मेषस्ते भवेद्दिवा ।
संस्कारास्त्वभवन् वेदा न तदस्ति त्वया विना ॥६-१२०-२५॥
nimeṣaste bhavedrātrirunmeṣaste bhaveddivā |
saṃskārāstvabhavan vedā na tadasti tvayā vinā ॥6-120-25॥
Translation
"Your closing of eyes becomes the night, and your opening of eyes becomes the day. The Vedas are your Sanskaras (thoughts/impressions). There is nothing that exists without you."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तुम्हारी पलक झपकना 'रात्रि' है और पलक खोलना 'दिन' है। वेद तुम्हारे संस्कार (ज्ञान) हैं। तुम्हारे बिना कुछ भी अस्तित्व में नहीं है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama controls cosmic time; his blink defines day and night. The Vedas are described as his innate knowledge or mental formations, not external scriptures. The statement 'Nothing exists without you' affirms that he is the substratum of all reality.
हिंदी टीका
काल (समय) श्री राम के अधीन है—उनका उन्मेष और निमेष ही दिन-रात का कारण है। वेद कोई बाहरी पुस्तक नहीं, बल्कि श्री राम के सहज ज्ञान ('संस्कार') हैं। 'न तदस्ति त्वया विना'—यह अद्वैत भाव है कि श्री राम के अतिरिक्त कुछ भी सत्य नहीं है।
