त्वया लोकास्त्रयः क्रान्ताः पुरा स्वैर्विक्रमैस्त्रिभिः ।
महेन्द्रश्च कृतो राजा बलिं बद्ध्वा महासुरम् ॥६-१२०-२७॥
tvayā lokāstrayaḥ krāntāḥ purā svairvikramaistribhiḥ |
mahendraśca kṛto rājā baliṃ baddhvā mahāsuram ॥6-120-27॥
Translation
"In the past, you covered the three worlds with your three strides. Binding the great demon Bali, you made Mahendra the king."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तुमने ही पूर्वकाल में अपने तीन पगों (त्रिविक्रम) से तीनों लोकों को नाप लिया था। तुमने ही महासुर बलि को बांधकर महेंद्र (इंद्र) को राजा बनाया था।
English Commentary
Brahma explicitly references the Vamana Avatar. By recalling how he measured the worlds and restored Indra by subduing Bali, Brahma reminds Shri Rama that his current mission (restoring order by killing Ravana) is a continuation of his eternal function as the preserver of cosmic balance.
हिंदी टीका
यहाँ 'वामन अवतार' की लीला का स्मरण कराया गया है। श्री राम वही हैं जिन्होंने वामन रूप में तीन पगों में ब्रह्मांड नाप लिया था और बलि को पाताल भेजकर इंद्र को स्वर्ग का राज्य लौटाया था। यह बताता है कि श्री राम का कार्य सदा धर्म और देवराज की रक्षा करना रहा है।
