तदिदं नः कृतं कार्यं त्वया धर्मभृतां वर ।
निहतो रावणो राम प्रहृष्टो दिवमाक्रम ॥६-१२०-२९॥
tadidaṃ naḥ kṛtaṃ kāryaṃ tvayā dharmabhṛtāṃ vara |
nihato rāvaṇo rāma prahṛṣṭo divamākrama ॥6-120-29॥
Translation
"O Best of those upholding Dharma! You have accomplished this task of ours. Ravana is slain. O Shri Rama, be joyful and return to your divine abode/heaven."
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे धर्मपालकों में श्रेष्ठ श्री राम! आपने हमारा यह कार्य संपन्न कर दिया है। रावण मारा गया है। अब आप प्रसन्न होकर (अपने धाम/स्वर्ग) पधारें।
English Commentary
Mission accomplished. Brahma thanks Shri Rama for fulfilling the gods' objective. The invitation to 'ascend to heaven' ('divam akrama') signifies that the purpose of the incarnation is technically complete with Ravana's death, acknowledging his right to return to his eternal state.
हिंदी टीका
ब्रह्मा जी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करते हैं। देवताओं का कार्य (रावण वध) श्री राम ने पूरा कर दिया। 'दिवम् आक्रम' का अर्थ है कि अब आप अपनी लीला समाप्त कर अपने दिव्य धाम को लौट सकते हैं (यद्यपि श्री राम अभी अयोध्या जाकर राज्य करेंगे, यह निमंत्रण उनके अवतारी उद्देश्य की पूर्ति का सूचक है)।
