अनन्यहृदयां भक्तां मच्चित्तपरिवर्तिनीम् ।
अहमप्यवगच्छामि मैथिलीं जनकात्मजाम् ॥६-१२१-१५॥
ananyahṛdayāṃ bhaktāṃ maccittaparivartinīm |
ahamapyavagacchāmi maithilīṃ janakātmajām ॥6-121-15॥
Translation
I also know that Maithili, the daughter of Janaka, has a heart for no other, is devoted to me, and her mind dwells in me.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं भी जानता हूँ कि जनकनन्दिनी मैथिली अनन्य हृदय वाली, मेरी भक्त और मेरे ही चित्त में रमी रहने वाली हैं।
English Commentary
Shri Rama explicitly states his personal conviction regarding Sita's fidelity. The phrase aham api avagacchami (I also know/understand) aligns his internal knowledge with Agni's external testimony. He confirms that he never doubted her devotion (bhaktam). This verse is crucial for interpreting Shri Rama's character; his harshness was a performance for the benefit of the world, masking his inner certainty of her love.

यह श्री राम का 'इकबालिया बयान' (Confession) है। 'अहमप्यवगच्छामि' (मैं भी जानता हूँ)। श्री राम पुष्टि करते हैं कि उन्हें सीता पर कभी संदेह नहीं था। उन्होंने जो कुछ किया, वह दुनिया के लिए था, अपने लिए नहीं। यह श्लोक उन आलोचकों को उत्तर देता है जो मानते हैं कि श्री राम ने सीता पर शक किया। श्री राम का विश्वास अटूट था, केवल उनकी भूमिका (Role) कठिन थी।
