अवश्यं तु मया कार्यं सर्वेषां वो वचः शुभम् ।
स्निग्धानां लोकमान्यानामेवं च ब्रुवतां हितम् ॥६-१२१-२१॥
avaśyaṃ tu mayā kāryaṃ sarveṣāṃ vo vacaḥ śubham |
snigdhānāṃ lokamānyānāmevaṃ ca bruvatāṃ hitam ॥6-121-21॥
Translation
I must certainly execute the auspicious words of all of you, who are affectionate, respected by the world, and speak for my welfare.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आप सभी (देवता) स्नेही हैं, लोकमान्य हैं और मेरा हित बोलने वाले हैं; अतः आप सबका शुभ वचन मुझे अवश्य करना (मानना) चाहिए।
English Commentary
Shri Rama formally accepts the command of the gods. He acknowledges them as snigdhan (affectionate) and hitam bruvatam (well-wishers). By framing his acceptance of Sita as obedience to the divine will, Shri Rama legitimizes the reunion in the eyes of the orthodox society. It portrays him as a humble servant of the cosmic order, ensuring that his actions are viewed as compliant with Dharma.

श्री राम यहाँ शिष्टाचार और दैवीय पदानुक्रम का सम्मान करते हैं। यद्यपि उन्होंने सीता को अपना लिया है, वे इसका श्रेय देवताओं के आदेश को देते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि बड़ों की आज्ञा मानना उनका कर्तव्य है। इससे यह सन्देश जाता है कि श्री राम ने सीता को 'मोह' में नहीं, बल्कि 'आज्ञा' और 'धर्म' के पालन में स्वीकार किया है। यह एक आदर्श राजा का आचरण है।
