तरुणादित्यसंकाशं तप्तकाञ्चनभूषणाम् ।
रक्ताम्बरधरां बालां नीलकुञ्चितमूर्धजाम् ॥६-१२१-३॥
taruṇādityasaṃkāśaṃ taptakāñcanabhūṣaṇām |
raktāmbaradharāṃ bālāṃ nīlakuñcitamūrdhajām ॥6-121-3॥
Translation
(Sita was) radiant like the morning sun, adorned with ornaments of refined gold, wearing red garments, and possessing black curly hair.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(सीता जी) बाल सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी, तपाये हुए सोने के आभूषणों से युक्त, लाल वस्त्र धारण किए हुए और काले घुंघराले केशों वाली थीं।
English Commentary
This verse provides vivid visual imagery of Sita's condition post-ordeal. Contrary to being scorched, she shines with the brilliance of the 'young sun' (tarunaditya). Her gold ornaments, red garments, and even her 'black curly hair' (nilakunchitamurdhajam) are intact. This physical description serves as forensic proof of her chastity—the fire recognized her internal fire of virtue and refused to harm even a strand of her hair.

वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ सीता के सौंदर्य का वर्णन करते हैं, जो अग्नि में प्रवेश करने के बाद भी मलिन नहीं हुआ। 'तरुणादित्यसंकाशं' (प्रातःकालीन सूर्य जैसा तेज) बताता है कि अग्नि परीक्षा ने उनके तेज को और बढ़ा दिया है। अग्नि के बीच रहकर भी उनके वस्त्र लाल हैं और बाल काले हैं—यानी आग की लपटों ने उन्हें स्पर्श तक नहीं किया। यह उनकी अलौकिक शुद्धता का प्रमाण है।
