न मे स्वर्गो बहुमतः संमानश्च सुराऋषिभिः ।
त्वया राम विहीनस्य सत्यं प्रतिशृणोमि ते ॥६-१२२-१३॥
na me svargo bahumataḥ saṃmānaśca surārṣibhiḥ |
tvayā rāma vihīnasya satyaṃ pratiśṛṇomi te ॥6-122-13॥
Translation
O Shri Rama! I tell You the truth—without You, neither heaven was esteemed by me, nor did I value the honor bestowed by the Gods and Sages.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे श्री राम! मैं तुमसे सत्य कहता हूँ कि तुम्हारे बिना मुझे न तो स्वर्ग प्यारा था और न ही देवताओं और ऋषियों द्वारा किया गया सम्मान ही अच्छा लगता था।
English Commentary
Dasharatha reveals a profound truth: without loved ones, even heaven feels like hell. The phrase 'I tell You the truth' underscores the gravity of his statement. Even the respect of the gods could not fill the void left by Shri Rama's absence. This verse elevates the glory of love above all material and celestial pleasures.

दशरथ जी यहाँ एक महान सत्य प्रकट कर रहे हैं कि अपनों के बिना स्वर्ग भी नरक के समान है। 'सत्यं प्रतिशृणोमि' शब्द उनके कथन की गम्भीरता को बताते हैं। देवताओं का सम्मान भी उनके हृदय की उस रिक्तता को नहीं भर सका जो श्री राम के वियोग से उत्पन्न हुई थी। यह श्लोक प्रेम की महिमा को भौतिक और दिव्य सुखों से ऊपर स्थापित करता है।
